Iki is a private dining and catering start-up, founded by two Johnson & Wales University, Culinary graduates. They needed a fresh and simple branding.
In my design, the word IKI becomes both typographic and geometric. Since the brand name is fairly short and simple (iki means two in Turkish), instead of a more straightforward font choice, I wanted to play hide and seek with the letters and create a shape from the word itself.
Both the business card and the menu contain the ‘=’ symbol, which means two in Japanese, made of the two ‘i’s within the word iki. Overall, I went for a simple, clean and dynamic look for the brand.
